SUPRACITE

Terms of participation

Effective 2026-09-14. These terms govern reader accounts and participation on Supracite, operated by Supracite. Contact: hello@supracite.com.

Using the publication

Supracite publishes technology reporting and analysis based on patent and other records. Articles may be drafts, may contain errors and may change as research develops. Content and replies are general information, not legal advice or a determination of infringement, validity, ownership, patent scope or professional standing. Using the site or contacting an editor does not create an attorney-client relationship. Supracite is not affiliated with or endorsed by the USPTO or the companies discussed.

Accounts

You must be 18 or older to create an account. Use an email address you control and provide accurate optional credential information. Do not impersonate another person or claim another practitioner’s registration number. Keep your password and recovery code secure. Email verification and email recovery are not available at launch; save your recovery code. Email or registration-number entry alone is not identity verification.

Questions and annotations

Contributions are reviewed before public display. We may approve, reject, remove or restrict contributions and accounts to address spam, abuse, inaccurate claims, unlawful content or interference with the service. Do not post confidential or privileged information, personal data about others without permission, harassment, threats or material you lack the right to share. You may withdraw a contribution. Follow-up replies are moderated too. We do not promise to approve, investigate or answer every submission.

Suggesting investigations

You may submit research suggestions for editorial review. They are private to you and editors. Acceptance permits editors to develop the suggestion into research and related articles; it does not promise that we will investigate or publish it. Submitted links and patent numbers are discovery leads that require verification. The contribution rules and license below also apply to suggestions.

Your material

You retain ownership of your contributions. By submitting one, you give the operator a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, review, display and reproduce it for operating the publication, including quoting or summarizing it in related articles and using research and editorial service providers. We may format or excerpt material without misleadingly changing its meaning. Withdrawal stops its display as a contribution; prior article revisions, legitimate editorial records and third-party copies may remain. The license does not transfer ownership of your work.

Records and revisions

Patent diagrams, source files and third-party materials may have separate rights and restrictions. A source citation or family connection is not a guarantee of accuracy or completeness. We may link a question to an editorial answer or a later article revision. A status such as “answered” or “addressed in revision” records an editorial action, not a promise that you agree with the response.

Service and responsibility

The current reader edition is free. These terms do not enroll you in a paid subscription. Any future paid offering will have separate pricing and payment terms. The service is provided as available without guarantees of uninterrupted access or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent permitted by law. Nothing here excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. You are responsible for your contributions and your use of the information.

Changes and contact

We may change these terms, posting a new effective date and requesting acceptance when appropriate. You can stop participating and delete your account. The privacy policy explains information handling and choices. Send account, content or rights concerns to hello@supracite.com.
